LEGOLAND fun - where it began!

A trip to LEGOLAND is always a blast for the age 3-10 group. Want to take it up a notch? Travel to Billund, Denmark, where LEGO is headquartered and still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family who founded it in 1932. LEGOLAND Billund is much bigger than the LEGO parks in the U.S., and even has a themed hotel, delighting your children. Each day the hotel hosts a building contest. Every participant 'wins' a LEGO prize, in some cases a boxed set worth over $30 in stores. Most food options were very kid-oriented, meaning simple preparations. There is a detailed list of allergens available at all eateries. I found the staff very pleasant and willing to accommodate our allergies. Check out my photo below of the fresh fruit stand. If only all theme parks offered whole food options!
