Have Allergies, Will Travel!

      I've had many roles in life - US EPA emergency responder, social entrepreneur and high school chemistry teacher to name a few - but the most important and meaningful one so far has been "mom." I was eight-months pregnant when my two-year old son lay in my arms, drowning in his own lung fluid, while experiencing a biphasic anaphylactic reaction after his first taste of peanut butter. My daughter was born allergic to milk, soy and eggs. Over ten years, I gradually progressed from full-blown anxiety attacks in the grocery store to flying halfway across the Pacific Ocean with life-threatening food allergies. I can help you get there, too.

      I am passionate about travel and education, and I believe they go hand in hand. Leading summer-long trips to New Zealand, Ireland and Northern Ireland; planning and facilitating conferences in Switzerland; and traveling abroad with my family have been some of the best learning experiences of my life. Food allergies should not stop anyone from having incredible travel experiences.
